Ordering Prints Museum Quality Print I print all of my work as giclee (pronounced: zshee'- clay) prints on archival paper. These are signed and numbered, limited edition, prints. I will only produce 100 prints of any particular image and you will receive a certificate of authenticity describing the image and its number in the series. I typically do not provide a matte or frame unless you would like me to do so. Please contact me in order to receive size and pricing information. Just so you have an idea of what the typical print is priced at a 20 x 24 print is $140.00 including shipping. Please provide a title or description of the work when requesting a price. Giclee Printing and Archival Paper I'm trying to keep the cost reasonable and still provide a quality, enduring image. I chose the giclee process on archival paper. The Giclee process uses pigmented inks so that the print is fade resistant. Testing of these inks in accelerated light exposure have shown them to have minimal fading in 100 years of typical (non-direct) sunlight exposure. And the paper is rated to hold 95% of its integrity for 150 years. Framing Of course any print is subject to the conditions under which it is displayed and handled. I would strongly suggest a professional framing gallery to handle the matting and framing. I would estimate that a 20 x 24 print would cost on average about $250.00 to frame that's with a modest wooden frame, archival matting and mounting, and UV protective glass. contact me to discuss pricing and other considerations. * Although I have definite matting and framing preferences for my work, I recognize that some of the framing choices for these images will depend on the environment in which they will be displayed. A professional framer will be able to help you choose a mat and frame that will work best in your situation. Also, if you have it matted and framed by a local shop rather than by me, it will avoid the shipping and insurance costs for a fragile (glass enclosed) package.Having said all the above I am willing to provide you with the complete package, ready to hang, if you prefer. Just contact me and we can discuss options. |
